                                         WHITTLESEA FIRE BRIGADE:

The Whittlesea Fire Brigade started as the Whittlesea Rural Brigade on the 17th of December 1926. Since the formation of CFA in 1944, the Brigade has been known as Whittlesea Fire Brigade. Since then the brigade has grown in both number of members and appliances.

WHO WE ARE:

We are teachers, mechanics, emergency services workers, public servants, students, shift workers, semi retiree's, factory works, electricians, health workers, we are parents, grandparents. We are young, old and in between. We aren't all firefighters, we have many members of the brigade who just donate their time to helping, run our fundraising and community education events. Many of our members donate more than 5 hours a week to volunteer to keep the community of Whittlesea, Eden Park and Humevale safe, in both operational and educational capacities, including planned burns and our Fire Safe Kids program.
